We’re pleased to announce we now distribute O’Conner Brewing Company, an award-winning craft brewery out of Norfolk, VA.

We will initially be offering their two flagship beers El Guapo Agave IPA and Great Dismal Black IPA, and will soon be selling their rotating line of seasonal beers. El Guapo Agave IPA is the largest Virginia craft beer brand in the state by dollar sale (according to year-to-date IRI data starting March 2016 for the craft beer segment), the winner of a silver medal in the 2017 Tastings World Beer Championship, and the winner of a bronze medal in the 2016 Commonwealth Craft Beer Cup. Great Dismal Black IPA is the winner of a gold medal in the 2017 Tastings World Beer Championship and the winner of a bronze medal in the 2014 Dublin Craft Beer Cup.

O’Connor Brewing Co. is a mighty yet humble craft brewery located in Norfolk, Virginia. Founded in 2010 by Kevin O’Connor with the support of his wife and company VP, Penny O’Connor; this award-winning, family-owned business blazed a trail for the craft beer movement in coastal Virginia. OBC’s mission is to create an original, world-class craft beer experience for all beer lovers through its innovative, evolving products and services while supporting our local communities. “The Great American Beer Festival invites industry professionals from around the world to sit together in small groups and, without knowing the brand name, taste beers in each specified style category. The ultimate goal of the Great American Beer Festival Judge Panel is to identify the three beers that best represent each beer-style category as described and adopted by the Great American Beer Festival.

The Professional Judge Panel awards gold, silver or bronze medals that are recognized around the world as symbols of brewing excellence. These awards are among the most coveted in the industry and heralded by the winning brewers in their national advertising.”
