Ballast Point

For the Love of Beer

We started out in 1996 as a small group of San Diego home brewers who simply wanted to make a better beer. In our exploration, we became obsessed with ingredients—tinkering, testing and tasting to find the perfect balance of taste and aroma. That adventurous spirit leads to award-winning beers in classic and unique styles while challenging our own tastes and expanding yours.

Birdsong Brewery

Birdsong Brewing was founded in 2011 in Charlotte, NC by a group of friends who share a love for great beer and great people.

Firestone Walker

It began innocently enough

Two brothers-in-law, in their search for a decent local brew decided to start making their own. That was 1996. David Firestone – aka the Lion – is a tirely advocate for innovation in craft beer while Adam Walker -aka the Bear – is the hardhat-wearing at the brewhouse. Their collective energy has formed one of the most impactful breweries from America’s West Coast, known for their traditional and innovative beers.

Bold Rock Hard Cider

Mills River, NC / Nellysford, VA

Bold Rock’s dedicated cider makers crush and craft locally picked apples to create a variety
of crisp and refreshing hard cider styles. That’s true at the two cideries built and established
at both ends of the Blue Ridge, including the flagship timber frame Cider Barn in Nellysford,
Virginia and the newer facility in the western North Carolina mountain town of Mills River. As
more people continue to enjoy their freshly crafted cider, Bold Rock founders John and Brian
are still committed to preserving their founding ideals: Real Apples. Real Craft. Real People.

Carolina Brewery

Chapel Hill/Pittsboro, NC

In 1995, owner Robert Poitras opened Carolina Brewery’s doors on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill. A
third generation UNC alumnus raised in eastern North Carolina, Poitras’ interest in craft beer began
while still in college when he traveled to Europe and became enamored with the local customs and flavors.
Upon returning home to North Carolina and graduating with honors from UNC Chapel Hill, Poitras searched
for a brew master. He found Jon Connolly at the world famous Siebel Institute and together the two men
have built Carolina Brewery. Their award winning, handcrafted beers have gained national recognition
with medals from the nation’s premier beer competitions like the Great American Beer Festival (GABF)
and World Beer Championships. Recent GABF medals include Bronze Medals for their Oatmeal Porter and
Sky Blue Golden Ale in 2013 and 2012, respectively, and a Gold Medal in 2006 for their Flagship IPA.

Catawba Brewing

quality. Create unique, small-batch beers inspired by the community, folklore, and lifestyle.
